Big K.R.I.T.- Live from the Underground (Album Feature)

Big K.R.I.T. blesses us with his debut studio album, and southern hiphop fans couldn't be happier. The entire album exuberates that smooth, slow-burn, twilight-out melodic kuntry sound with those punchy as hell kickdrums, sultry bass lines and his familiar skits. That southern swagger moulds his snappy rhymes and effortless flow into one thumping masterpiece. He handles both production and writing, which is a testament to his raw talent.

I am a little reluctant to preview an album this early out of the release date... and I am evermindful of the thoughts of artists who work so hard for something for it to be handled without respect in terms of leaks. It is of such great quality I like to think I'm doing more good than bad by allowing a small population of people that most likely would have ignored an album as low-key in Australia to discover a new artist/sound that is: Big K.R.I.T. So with that having been said, if you like what you hear, support the artist!!

Here's a taste:

MUSIC INFLUX!

A few notable releases over the past few days, so lets get to it. We are only a few weeks away from the beginning of a crazy 2/3 months of album releases from the likes of A$AP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T., T.I., Sir Michael Rocks, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Electronica, G.O.O.D Music, Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, 2 Chainz, NaS, Rick Ross, MMG, Slaughterhouse... just to name a few.

And of course, if you hadn't heard already, DYNU Vol. 2 (Mixtape) will be dropping August 10. Expect big things...

First up, Pusha-T with another G.O.O.D. Music single off the upcoming dual-short film/album release Cruel Summer. Shots definitely being fired at Drake....

Pusha-T: Exodus 23-1 (feat The-Dream)

One of my fav tracks off Big K.R.I.T.'s mixtape gets a touch up by Juicy J and Waka Flocka, something to hold us off until Live From The Underground comes out June 5th... Should be a great LP.

Big K.R.I.T. – Temptation (rmx) f. Juicy J & Waka Flocka

Meek Mill- uh, I mean Wiz Khalifa's new single "Work Hard Play Hard" gets the visuals...

Was gonna wait for the album... but fuck it. As chill as it gets. EPIC
Curren$y: Capitol (feat. 2 Chainz)

Not the best video, but had to post this after his amazing LP... Standout track on Ab-Soul's Control System.

Kendrick does a song for a video game. Not my thing but yeah sure, its new music.

Cocaine 80's... don't know much about them but I like their sound. Can't find much about them, that voice HAS to be James Fauntleroy though. Can't miss that. No ID-sounding production aswell... I will research this. Anyway, they are sick. Check them out:

Cocaine 80′s – Chain Glow (feat. Nas)

Another random, know nothing about them, just good music.

NdotAdot: Sheep and Wolf

Always love a Terrace Martin saxophone-infused track.

Terrace Martin: We Fly (feat. Snoop Dogg & Teedra Moses)

Ab-Soul: Control System (Album Feature)

I am TERRIBLY late on this one... been so busy. Nonetheless, I've handpicked a couple of gems off the oh-so-obscure Ab-Soul's latest LP Control System. I highly recommend downloading the entire album, the production from Willie B, Dave Free, Sounwave, TaeBeast and engineer Ali is ground-breaking stuff. I've said this a thousand times, but TDE have some incredlble talent. For the simple fact that nobody sounds remotely like them in the industry at the moment.

A little less trippy than Schoolboy Q's album, which I sorta like, I enjoy Ab-Souls catchy ad-lib choruses. They stick in your head all day. Control System hit number one on iTunes in America this week aswell, a first for TDE. So kick back and enjoy the soultry sounds and flow of Ab-Soul.

"I used to wanna rap like Jay-Z/Now I feel like I’m running laps round Jay-Z”.

Soulo Ho3 (Feat. Jhene Aiko) (prod. by Sounwave, Tae Beast)

Terrorist Threats (Feat. Danny Brown & Jhene Aiko) (prod. by Dave Free) INCREDIBLE SONG

Double Standards (prod. by Sounwave) SAMPLES KANYE's POWER

SOPA (Feat. Schoolboy Q) (prod. by Nez and Rio) TRIPPY.

Illuminate (Feat. Kendrick Lamar) (prod. by Skhye Hutch) Kendrick's verse... wow.

Beautiful Death (Feat. Punch & Ashtrobot) (prod. by Skhye Hutch) Ashtrobot- amazing on the hook.
